What's New in the ToolTips?
---------------------- The main use of ToolTips is to display text next to the control, or mouse pointer as a tooltip. ToolTips can have different properties: A tooltip can be displayed automatically, only appearing on the mouse pointer. The amount of time the tooltip is displayed (TimeOut) is also configurable. A tooltip can be displayed only on mouse hover. A tooltip can be displayed only when the mouse cursor is inside a defined area (area), or when the mouse is moved over this area. A tooltip can be displayed when the mouse cursor is not inside an area, but a short press on a control triggers the display of the tooltip. A tooltip can be displayed on mouse click, or short press on a control, only if there is an active tooltip on the control. A tooltip can be displayed on mouse action, or on a timer, only if there is an active tooltip on the control. A tooltip can be displayed for all the controls in the form (or a child form), identified by a String Identifer. A tooltip can be displayed in a specific colour, or change colour on hover, or both. ToolTips can be customized for text, font, colour, size, position and behaviour, by providing your own or a provided list of functions. The tooltip properties are set using properties and methods, and for the most part the provided functions suffice, but a few extra properties are also provided (SetPosition, SetHoverPosition). The default values are similar to the Win32 API (HWND, HMENU, DC, TFC, etc.) and are configurable by using the properties (ChangePosition, SetPosition, SetHoverPosition, GetPosition, GetHoverPosition). Controls on which ToolTips should be displayed: ----------------------------------------------- The ToolTip control will display a ToolTip next to the control identified by a String Identifier.
